Summer Send off Deck party 2009

Hello Fellow Printers,

Welcome to the Connecticut Valley Litho Club’s website. You will find links to all our activities, scholarships and club functions that are available.

The C.V.L.C. was founded in 1941 with the help of many printers, suppliers and craftsmen. This organization is dedicated to the education of it’s members and of the younger generation coming into the industry. Our club has grown and prospered through these years because of the excellent leadership of past Board of Governors. We thank all that have come before us and  we hope to continue in their footsteps.

As far as activities, we always have our Clambake in September, which is open to anyone, our Summer Send Off in June, which is open to members, their guests and scholars only and our Golf Outing in May, which is also open to anyone as well. See David Signore

We have scholarships available for undergraduates who are pursuing careers in the printing industry, web design or any other category that is related to our industry. Please view that section of our website for an application and guidelines. Or contact me at gagliardigail@sbcgloabl.net

The club also has scholarships available for members pursuing education that will help them in their career in the printing industry. Please view that section of our website for further information. Or contact Stephen Haag.

Look for the Golf Outing area of our website. This is our newest Club function. We use one of Connecticut’s premier golf courses and provide a great dinner, prizes and lots of fun. Come join us!! Contact Susan Mulqueen

Education of our members is key to us. We have about 1-2 dinner meetings each year with guest speakers or a bus trip. Past trips have been to The Printing Museum, The Boston Globe, Polaroid and papermills. Any suggestion for new speakers and new destination are always welcome. Just drop a line to any Board Member with an idea, it would be greatly appreciated.

Speaking of our Board Members, we have 9 dedicated members to our Board but we are looking for new members all the time. If you are interested please contact me or another Board Member. The more people on the Board, the more ideas we have. We meet for dinner once a month, mostly on Monday evenings at 6:00.

Again, thanks for visiting our website and we hope that you join us at a function and possibly become a member. Life is an adventure, Live It.

Regards,

Gail Gagliardi
